Need some help.

This is my first post, so please dont just flame if its in the wrong place.

Find target location. How am i ment too do this?

XP was simple, rght click shortcut, properties, find target location.

I need to download a PB undate for a game, and it HAS to go into the game folder. Unfortunally, as the game was installed through Steam, i didnt get to pick a location for it to go, so now i have NO idea were the game is installed too, and do not know the maker of the game (Americias Army 3 seems too be made by nobody).

Im almost too the point were i want too punch something because what was a very simple task has now turned into 30mins of getting stressed and cursing microsoft.

Please. somebody help me out and tell me what im doing wrong, and tell me its just as simple as in XP, i just cant see it.

Thankyou.

Hi Ham, welcome to the forums

When you right-click an icon you should be faced with the shortcut properties (see pic). You can see by the boxed areas that the install location is clearly labeled.

Hope this helps

If you don't have an icon showing, you might be able to find the game by using the search feature at the bottom of the start menu. Type in the game's name, wait a few seconds until the search finishes, and if it's actually installed on your machine you should see a Programs section and a Documents section appear. Right click on the game in the Programs section and you should see the same dialog box as provided by Orbital Shark.

I found this info

Quote:
Steam installs to the following folder by default:
C:\Program Files\Steam
And files for AA3 are stored in the following folder by default:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Common\America's Army 3
Source = AMERICA'S ARMY: EVERY DETAIL COUNTS - SUPPORT - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
