I am the worlds worst typist!
I like the clean look of Bing, but I have found it doesn't seem quite as smart as Google. A small spelling mistake and it often cannot return any results, Google always has a good guess at what I meant to type.
The only feature on any other engine that will get me to leave the embrace of all of the world's knowledge in Google, is Fare Predict on Bing Travel - it never fails to tell me correctly whether to buy now or wait on buying a ticket.
Oh I remember them and they still come up in conversation in our household. I tell my girlfriend that if she doesn't treat me right, I am going over to Betty and Veronica's place. They are my "secret" girlfriends.

are we giving a hint to our age......Sad that I DO remember them. They must be retired by now, right?
Yep, sadly I remember them also. But they were not quite the same didnt these systems predate WWW and search only a few databases? I guess there were only a few databases in those days.
But today, who would use only one search engine? I use Google as default, mostly out of habit, and because it finds what I thought I was asking rather than what I actually asked. But I have plenty more search choices on the context menu ready to roll, and more on a bookmarklets folder.
I love the rightclick Accelerators on IE8. Any text I come across I can highlight to quickly search, define, translate, map, etc. It gets me what I need without typing anything or even opening a new page myself.
Search Engine ? Hello,
Is there a free, or inexpensive, search engine that will search the text in the documents in all my files, and not just by file name ?
In other words, literally searching every text word on PC, wherever it might be, looking for a match.
What is your favorite search engine? So guys what is your most loved/used search engine?
Vote, and feel free to comment about it and please have fun don’t start damming people to hell just cause they use Y instead of x if you know what I mean ;)
I personally use BING and prefer it to google!

Windows 7 search engine First post here. I am really surprised not to see more discussion of this, and I have not found any sort of acceptable alternative since starting with Windows 7 in March of 2011
I simply do not understand the Windows 7 search engine capabilities. Perhaps the best way to highlight this is with...
