    win 7 ie lost icon


    sir i got a new trouble, i don't know how to replace icon for it
    it not a shortcut that i can change icon myself
    this one i don't know how to do it

    You might see if rebuilding the icon cache may be able to help.

    wow thanks a lot to show me that thread, and btw thanks to zidane too for that useful bat :)
    could someone tell me, why i lost that icon, maybe it because a virus or malware ?

    If malware and virus' are your concern its best to be sure
    Run an anti virus scan and
    download and scan with malwarebytes. Run the full scan and be sure to update before using. If you are clean with these two, I am pretty sure it was not a virus or malware problem. It is my opion that it was not a virus or malware problem. Sometimes another program or even corruption during boot can cause these minor annoyances.

    I would run the malwarebytes once a week, to keep the nasties away.

    You're most welcome Rebornishard. :)

    It could have been caused by a number of things. The most common is either file or icon cache corruption for whatever reason.

    It wouldn't be a bad ideal and do what Richard suggested above to be safe though.
