Laptop Wakes Up Seconds After Going To Sleep

Whenever I try to put my laptop into sleep mode, it wakes back up a few seconds later without me touching anything. Has anyone come across this before? I just reformatted my computer and this didn't happen before the reformat.

To find out what event/device woke up your Windows from its sleep state, go to command prompt (type cmd on the Run/Search box and press ENTER), then type this:
powercfg – lastwake

To get the most detailed info (and probably easiest) on the device that wakes your Windows up during the sleep, type:
powercfg –devicequery wake_armed

Vista and now 7 in 32 and 64 bit.

Are you frequently using any remote controls in the area? Two of my TV remotes awaken the computer from sleep. - Only if you have an infrared device in the computer.
It matters not if I am changing channels or any other function.

Thanks, everyone. It looks like my wireless mouse is the culprit (possibly along with an ENE CIR receiver). There's no Power Management tab in Device Manager for any of my devices, so I guess I have to go with Step 5 of the link that richc46 provided, or pull out my mouse every time I want my computer to sleep.

Laptop wakes up from sleep, then crashes after a few seconds.
Hello all, So I've only noticed this recently since I usually am on AC power. These past few days, I've been using my battery. I've noticed that when I wake it up, I can punch in my password, no problem, then when it logs on, I have a few seconds where I can see my programs (Chrome, and maybe...

Laptop wakes up from sleep to hibernate

Goes into Sleep for 45 seconds then wakes up...
All by itself,... It is the most bizarre thing. Either it goes to sleep by the timer setting or I can use the "Start button" then select sleep. It closes up properly and looks all hunky-dori. Then between 30 and 45 seconds later, it wakes up again. I heard it happening enough last night...

Laptop Non-Responsive When Wakes Up From Sleep
I've had an HP dv5t laptop for about a year and a half (see specs), and so far (knock on wood) it's been pretty much perfect EXCEPT for one problem that has been happening on and off for the last several months. It occurs about once or twice a month for no apparent reason --- and I don't know if...
