what are these hidden folder (.files) ??

can any one tell me about these hidden folders (.files) ?
they are same name as my pictures !

how can i remove or prevent create these are folders ?

Where did you find these folders/files?
What folder were they contained in?

Just to help us out a little.

Normally you should'nt delete hidden folders (Hence why they are hidden) and also i doubt very much you could stop these from being created.

But we do need a bit more info as to where you came accross the said folders/files.

Do you have/use a photo editing software? (For example to touch up pictures, remove redeye etc)

One likely possibility are that these hidden files are back ups of the original picture so you can later revert changes.

Thats just a guess however, and as Luckystar said we really need more information to help determine the cause.

thanks for your answer
there are every were ! this is picture of my Desktop
and i found these folder by set (show hidden files in folder options)
there contents 2 small picture (same as original one in desktop)
these folder created for photos ,videos ,musics
sorry I'm not enough good in English

there contain thumbnails and album art used in VAIO media gallery
