    PSHED.DLL missing or corrupt

i downloaded build 7000 yesterday. my problem is that during the setup, (when i boot from the setup disk), just after copying the windows setup files is completed, i get a screen with error that the file PSHED.DLL is missing or corrupt, and i cannot continue with the setup any further. tried running setup within the windows also, but then i get the error 0x80070241 just when the file copy process begins. i was running build 6956 earlier with no such problem. i guess the problem is with the iso that i downloaded. is there any way i can replace the corrupted file in the setup with the old one from build 6956? or any other way to resolve this problem?

that file in question pertains to the "Platform Specific Hardware Error Driver"

actually there is no possible way to copy it unless you have 7000 installed (which of course you dont)

    download it again....

thats all i can help since its so early in the install....

ok, what if i take the file from someone who already has the build 7000, like you?
i was looking for this corrupted file in the iso i downloaded, but no luck. anyone who knows which file to replace in the setup? if yes, then can anyone mail me that file?

please do not post your email address here...
this is a public forum and anyone can access it...
    (including spammers...)
the files are in one big one (think of it as a image file like a iso....)

i believe its called install.wim ( it should be the biggest file in the dvd)

the only way to do what you are asking is to extract the install wim

load that file (and you never know if there are other corrupt files in the image....)

restructure the install.wim file and then restructure the iso....

what i can tell is to do is to burn it again at 2x

its going to take a long time but then you can be sure that your image is corrupt and not a drive burning error....
