partition problem

I creatrd a partition using Spotmau Partition Genius for backup until I could get an external hard drive. When I click the partition in the program ti says "Unallocated". I can't do anything with the partition and it is not visible in Windows. I would like to know how to delete it and create a logical partition. Please help me.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Click the Start orb

In the search box type: Computer management and click it in the results.

In the new Window:
Expand the Storage Section, and Click Disk manager

You Will now have a list of all your Hard Drives and the partitions they contain.

If you Right Click The Unallocated Space, you can create a new Partition, as well as assign whatever Drive leeter you choose..
