Windows 7: icon remain clicked after formating with windows 7 professional

hi friends,
i ve formated window XP sp2 and install windows 7 professional. in due course of installing windows 7, it restarted and while restarting the windows untill displaying "starting windows" my laptop produce annoying sound like "peou, peou peou". and after completing my installation, i found that there is display "recycle Bin" on the desktop. but it was already clicked.
then i made "show computer icon on desktop" and icon on the desktop become two(i.e, recycle bin and computer icon). even then it keep on clicked on recycle Bin. when i select computer and double click on it, it open recycle bin , not the computer.

it really annoyed me. not opening where i ve clicked. i ve not install any software right now..what could be that problem....
any suggestion please
