    my computer doesnt pop up


    Hi folks,
    when I click on mY computer, the icon is visble on the task bar, but the My Computer start up page doesnt apper. It just slides out of the window. am not able to open any folders also. result is the same.

    Check the integrity of you system files with the sfc/ scannow command. The "sfc /scannow" command (System File Checker) scans the integrity of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible.

    Probable virus infection. First, do a System File Check (SFC) scan as advised by Tews and see if it fixes your problem. If not, using System Restore, try restoring your PC to an earlier date (before the problem occured).

    If the problem still persists, do a full scan with your anti-virus and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. (Note: It is necessary to update MBAM first before performing a full scan)

    Does the window open but its just off screen where you can't see it? Were you at any point running dual monitors?

    no i was not running dual monitors.
    the problem is, the My computer screen is not static on my desktop. It just swrils out of the window.

    You could also try the windows key and the down arrow key, or windows key and the left or right arrow key.
