No i don't think so - but windows search does seem to behave oddly on my 4 lacie drives!
Some automatically play content in WMP - some open the autoplay screen automatically and some require me to click on the drive and select autoplay.....

It all depends on the file structure of the disc and the content on them. A DVD movie might open in WMP and play automatically, while a data disc may just prompt you with some options.
