    file shredder like leopard,is there one?


    Hi

    in leopard there is a file shredder feature close the trash icon , this feature in incorporate to the mac Os

    is there a add on for windows7?

    don't want to install eraser ,bad experience


    i don't a gadget , something that can be integrated perfectly in w7

    Good windows 7 file shredder
    There are also a number of entries if you just Google "File Shredder for Windows 7"
    I don't know if these are as good as a Mac equivalent as I don't use a Mac, I use a real man's PC

    but i wanted one integraded in the os

    i know them
    but i wanted one integraded in the os
    not an external program
    I don't think any Windows OS's have had an integrated shredder and I go back to Win 3.0 (Now i feel quite ancient!)

    I s'ppose the closest you could get with onboard tools: empty the trash bin and run a defrag.
    If your data is so sensitive, why not creating a small partition for it where it can be overwritten/reformated every so often.

    Never used it myself, I use a little programme called cyber shredder, but the one in the link is intergrated into the 'right click' menu.

    i found a gadgted that can do it

    don't know if is safe , but seems cool!
