How to move sticky notes from taskbar to tray?

well I'm sure a bunch of people is pondering that question...
the sticky notes is a blessed and useful little tool, but
why the heck Microsoft went putting it in the taskbar all the freakin' time?

hey MS, yeah i like sticky notes, but i don't want it to take up my taskbar space, you digg?

    any tip guys?

Sticky notes isn't pinned on the taskbar by default.

What exactly are you trying to do?

when you put a sticky note on the desktop, surprise surprise, it stays on the taskbar.

well, it shouldn't, i want it transferred to the tray icon area, or something.
just get it out of my sight

He does have a point, there should be an option to banish it to the tray icon area.

Yeah, I see what you mean. Sorry, I don't know of a way to have it not show up when it's running. Maybe someone else does.

Write to MS and request this functionality.

Use the one original to vista's sidebar or download another from live gallery.

The one from vista will also show as you peak at the desktop.

Or you could try this. Stickies

It stays in the notification area. The stickies roll up when not in use and you can set an alarm among other things.

    Works great for me.

Media Player has the same problem It would be nice to have the options to choose taskbar or tasktray or both like Winamp does.
