About a week ago began suffering from this fault, only happens maybe once a day. When it happens, i lose ability to click on certain objects (selecting windows, clicking buttons etc) additionally rainmeter refuses to let itself be clicked on, however clicking on icon's in taskbar works correctly providing it's DIRECTLY on the taskbar, if it extends onto desktop, it won't work.
Mouse (razer deathadder) is working correctly, newest drivers loaded, scrolling works while in this state which makes me believe this is not a mouse issue.
Proccess Hacker ran in background when this triggered, did not result in anything of use, I/O to disks was normal, so was RAM/CPU.
Have scanned PC using NOD32 (newest version + updated virus database) resulted in nothing being found. Windows is updated to newest version of Win 7.
Have run out of ideas, hoping someone knows of this issue. There seems to be no pattern to this, could happen 3pm one day, and 6am the next, program's seem to make no difference.
Have tried ending + restarting explorer.exe, same result, occassionally fixes however may be that it's resolved itself.
This continues to happen for a few minutes before seemingly resolving itself.
