Playing games on a production system without having a supply of constant backups...
No offense but that is not very smart.

how i got my winmend password back doing the following - and is free!

1st go into disk where folder is hidden and set attributes to show hidden system files – to do this first click tools-folder options-view-and uncheck hide protected operating system files, as well as checking show hidden files, folders, drives

    next step

    1. download winimage here Gilles Vollant software
    2. make image of folder or disk or whatever it is you have hidden – I did this by dragging the Winmend~Folder~Hidden ‘folder’ onto winimage
    3. look for the cn folder and open it inside winimage
    4. drag .ini file that says password in its name onto desktop
    5. open ini file with notepad or any nfo reader etc.
    6. voila – there's your password!!!!!!!!
    7. email winmend and tell them you don’t need their help, especially for $40.00

go here to download file to see what names and where ini files located

    * sigh *

I swear, threads older than a couple months should just be locked automatically.

You just brought a year-old thread back from the dead...and did you notice the OP is banned now?

If anybody has lost or forgotten their winmend folder hidden password, then

    Visit Downloads abyss computing

It works great. I used it to retrieve mine and it gave me my forgotten password in just seconds. You just have to pay a nominal $2 which they ask just for the maintenance of their website and serve you better.

    WinMend

I created a folder name is Main Folder in D: drive and transferred my all folders (+80 folders appx 100GB) into Main folder and I installed MinMend and applied on Main folder, it worked good, last day I run my MinMend hidden folder and opened my Main folder I shocked there was only one folder other all folders was disappeared, before my hard disk space was 90GB free and now is same capacity 90GB is free it’s mean my data is save but it is disappear. I uninstall winmend and install again and give it old password but not to use full.
    What to do please help…
