    Based on some research, that thread you're talking about is sometimes a misinterpretaion of NTKRNLPA.exe, and that it does seem to be caused by a display driver. I'm not sure about Catalyst having problems. I've been using ATI cards for years before and it's fine; I can't really say about the mobile versions.

    Your log is fine. I'm still trying to figure out what's in the Office Suite of programs that trigger your problem.

    Yes, a system image should be a quick fix, if you don't mind your PC going back in time 2 weeks from now.

    For now, if I were to have your PC, I would try to research on deleting nVidia driver remnants, and also reinstall my ATI video drivers. just to be sure.

    OK I have reinstalled the system image - driver still there

    ran guru3d - still there process has been running at - it is running hot now - don't know how to get it off my system.

    I think i might have to just clean install don't really want to does anyone have any ideas
