Recycle bin malfunctioning
I've been searching around trying to find some solution for this...
I've installed Windows 7 on a newly built PC and noticed that when I send files to the Recycle Bin, it will change to the 'Full' icon and can be emptied, but when I open its window up, the contents are not displayed, and they cannot be restored to their original location.
The next thing I noticed was that when I try deleting and restoring files while the Recycle Bin is open it works perfectly - Deleted files will show up in the Recycle Bin and they can be restored. It's only after I close and reopen the Recycle Bin that the apparent corruption occurs.
I have tried deleting the $recycle.bin folders from elevated command prompt but it doesn't work.
Perhaps there's something I've installed (Spybot, AVG etc) which is mucking it up.

Ok, that last link was very helpful. Turns out it was indeed caused by a Codemeter USB dongle I had plugged in. Reconfiguring it to act as a removable disk instead of a fixed disk solved the problem (although why it was set up as a fixed disc by default is beyond me)
Thanks a lot for your help
