    msvcr100.dll error, please help.

Hi, I'm trying to open an .exe software, but when I do, I get an error telling me that the file "msvcr100.dll" is missing from my computer.

I found the file on the internet, and installed it into my windows/system32, then I restarted my computer.

The file is installed, but I still get the error.

    This might help:

Why not try System File Checker?

Open a Command Prompt (type CMD in the bottom left search box)

Once CMD.EXE appears as a selection, right click it and select 'run as administrator'

To the right of the chevron, type in ' "regsvr32 msvcr100.dll" (without the quotes).

You should get a 'succeeded' message.

Just did that, it tells me that the "msvcr100.dll" was read, but the "insertpoint" DllRegisterServer was not found.

Under that it tells me to control that "msvcr100.dll" is a valible DLL- or OCX-file, then try again.

    No idea what to do.

Oh - one of those DLL's without entry points.

The closest I can find is Avoiding the MSVCR100.dll or MSVCR100D.dll is missing error « Rhyous's 127.0.0.1 or ::1
