What about the 7224 video being obvious just a video camera shot of a fullscreen image? You can see where he forgot to unblur the registered name in the screenshot before he tried to pass it off as a live shot. I don't doubt a leak could be coming soon, but it seems to me that video is an obvious fake.

Agreed, good eye. Pulled it, although still getting 'confirmed' reports that this exists.

There do seem to be more and more reports that it does indeed exists. Not like any normal fake, where just 1 person creates chaos.

in all honesty, to many rumors atm, i also heared there is no build 7200+ atm, however i take it with same grain of salt as reports that they exist.

Look think it that way, what branch exactly would be RC2? winmain_sp or winmain_win7ids_sp they both indicate that they have something to do with SP, my personal opinion is just, they branched "new" code to SP branches, while we are on the road to RTM escrow/RTM. And everything about RC2 is bit blown out of proportion. But we will see in few days but generaly im sure rc2 branch would be taged properly and wouldnt have anything to do with winmain or sp branch.

I agree with most of that, although I do have to say that 7200 exists, it was just another build number jump. As for RC2, I don't think there will be an "official" RC2, at least not a build labeled as such. What I think that people are calling RC2 is a build in the RTM branch (7200) that MS is going to ship out to OEMs for feedback on before they finalize the RTM branch.

Although, that may not be right either, as I've heard from many people that code freeze is due June 6th, and 7200 won't go live on TAP and Connect until June 11.

Microsoft is really starting to confuse me now.

well what im trying to say is, that codefreeze is "now" with build 7200, i dont say it doesnt exist (since i doubt wzor will say compleat bull****), however I just think they dont have all facts (or they explain them as they want them to be explained in hunt for traffic).

Yeah, I agree with that. I don't think anyone but MS has all the facts on it...and I'm not to sure even they do at this point.

That said...I wouldn't be surprised to see 7200 in the wild within a week.

i wouldnt be suprised as well also i wouldnt be suprised if RC/beta key would stop working once we see builds 7200+ , because sooner or later they need to stop working, and closer we are geting to RTM, sooner we can expect them to stop working :P and 7200 seems nice milestone for that
