Windows 7 64 bit problem

I am running Windows 7 64bit Professional -

When I right click 'my computer > properties' Windows Experience Index does not show my processor or installed memory. Instead it says 'Not installed' for both.

This just recently happened.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening or how to fix this?

hiya pal and welcome to the forums

Your title says "windows 7 65 bit problem" just to clarify for new members I presume you mean 64 bit problem.

Is it possible for you to fill in your system spec in full + take a snip shot / snipping tool (print screen) of the issue that you have ... just makes it easier to try and solve your problem ;)

At a guess, you're missing some motherboard drivers. (I haven't built an AMD system since the Socket 939 days.)

I'd investigate further, but the "ATI System Driver" package for download from ATI is about 330MB in size, and their US server isn't fast.

Did you get something useful on the driver CD that I assume came with the motherboard?

At a guess, you're missing some motherboard drivers. (I haven't built an AMD system since the Socket 939 days.)

I installed everything from the CD/DVD that came with my motherboard. I then went to the MSI website to update my driver/bios.

This problem I am having just recently happened; when I first got my computer it worked fine.

If you have an approximation of when it happened, I'd suggest you perform a system restore to before this occurred to see if that corrects the issue.

I did that and it didnt help.

Multiple times.

I also scanned for malware/spyware viruses/trojans - No luck. I have no idea what to do.

Hmm. Strange. I don't see anywere on your screen where it says to view and print detailed performance and system information. But then again I'm using Windows 7 X64 Ultimate, so it could be a bit different???? Never mind. I believe your screen print is from the control panel system applet. Rerun the performance tool. Then check under the view system and performance.... button, located on the right hand side, below the big box that shows your score.

Out of curosity, what is listed in device manager-> processors???

Doing a google search, I found this that might help:

I tried that google link just now - no luck.


And quoting you "view system and performance.... button, located on the right hand side, below the big box that shows your score." - When I click that it says CREATE DETAILS ERROR; Could not create details page.

Could that be the problem?

edit: under device manager > processors - it shows my cores.

It completes with no errors, but takes a long time (usually its faster) - and it still doesnt show my processor or installed memory.

After a fresh install on my computer; I installed Halo 2 before any other Windows LIVE game and it worked with no problems.
