As a test - Installed 7137 on Toshiba Satellite

Just by way of a test and as a curiosity (in the manner that a traffic accident is a curiosity :) I wanted to see if it was possible to install Win7 on it and ... quietly now ... was it usable?

Toshiba 3000-S353 - With a fresh reboot and when at rest, memory footprint is about 275 MB. Surprisingly, this is actually usable as a browsing machine as long as you don't visit sites with a lot of "active graphics". This screen snip pretty much tells the story...

After about 15 minutes idle, memory footprint fell to about 230 MB.

Looking good there. Let's just hope Microsoft won't end up putting too much background services (which can be useless) when the commercial windows 7 is released.
