Windows 7: Updated to Windows 7 ultimate now Hibernate gets stuck

I have an HP dv-4 2126tx and updated my windows 7 home premium to windows 7 ultimate. I have it set to where when i close my lid it goes into hibernate. when i try to bring it back from hibernate by pushing the power button it, it always goes to a black page with a "_" right in the black corner. if i hit the power button again and let it do what ever until all the lights go off agin and then press the power button one more time after it does that it will start back up just like normal. everything works like it did before i updated.This hibernate problem is very bothersome because I hibernate quite frequently. Can anyone help me with this? thanks....
