    both, i tryed booting it from a usb aswell...it said disk error press any key to restart

    oh by the looks it doesnt take you to the exact place...you will need to click on notebook...then travelmate...then scroll down to 5720g

    Its very annoying that only the .exe file is provided and not the .wph or .rom. BTW I noticed the bios dates 2008, thats pretty old. And what exactly do you hope to gain with this update?

    yea would be nice if the sys. file even worked,my current BIOS is dated 2007,i want to gain all there is to gain i upgraded from vista to 7 so figured BIOS update would also be good,

    Here it is http://global-download.acer.com/GDFi...=Acer&SC=AAP_9

    Simply extract all content to a folder, then open the exe file as adminstrator.
    It should work.

    i guess i could install XP pro and then update my BIOS, but ive just got windows 7 set up how i like it dam it
