Where is right click - explore?

Just moved to win7 - have always used "right click - explore" ever since XP to access Windows Explorer so I can view folders in the left column, and files (and folders) in the right column. Tried to Google this and search this forum and I find postings saying there is no "explore option", that a "double click" on a folder or "my computer" opens the "Windows Explorer".

If that's the new do all "explorer", then can someone tell me how to view folders in the left column and files (and sub-folders) in the right column? And, for example, how would one move a folder to a parent folder without opening another folder window?

Hello Bytemon, and welcome to Seven Forums.

The Explorer option has been basically renamed to Open in A new window instead.

Open each Folder in the Same or Own Separate New Window

Here are some more related tutorials about the navigation pane that you might also find helpful for this.

Navigation Pane - Show All Folders

Navigation Pane - Automatically expand to current folder

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Thanks - I totally missed the "Organize / Layout / Navigation Pane" option - that perfectly fits my needs.

You're most welcome Bytemon. I'm happy to hear that you got it sorted. :)
