    recover admin password

Help! A techie friend set up my son's mini notebook which has Windows 7. I failed to write down my Admin password, so now I cannot add software, etc. Can someone please give me an easy way to fix this problem. I did read some other threads and tried to restart the computer, press F8 and proceed in safe mode but it did nothing.
    Thanks.....

You could ask your techie friend what password s/he put on the notebook.
