User account problem

Hello,

My laptop is Dell Inspiron 14R and use windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I was trying to download itunes but it showed failure and did not respond. Then, I used task manager to close the window. Then, I restart the computer. Now, I see many of my desktop icons missing and also my documents missing. However, those documents are availble in a folder called Uses\Dell folder in C drive. Apart from these problems, the fonts of the internet explorer has changed and its like using a new computer where I have to install programs again. Please help.

Hello Bean and welcome to SevenForums.

First. let's rule out corrupted system files.

Please actually read this tutorial and follow the procedure there.
System File Checker - SFC /SCANNOW Command

Run SFC until you get a clean bill of health from SFC.

Let us know the status.
