    windows features disappeared!

My system is windows 7 x64 ultimate.
I have lost "windows features on or off" at Programs and Features as attached picture.

Any comment on this problem would be appreciated.

Yeah, it's slow sometimes for me also, just give it some time and it will show up. You can try to cancel it and start it again and see what happens.

    Hello Windstory,

If it does not load up after a bit, then see if running a sfc /scannow command may be able to help. If not, then a repair install should.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

"Windows Modules Installer" service has to be running so I've been told.

This function depends on one of the services being available and operational. To check this, click on the start orb and type Services into the search box. Right-click on the program, select Run as administrator and provide administrative credentials. When the program starts, scroll down the list and double click on Windows Modules Installer. Check to see that the settings are as shown below. These are the default settings for that service. If not, correct them and click OK. You can now close the Services program.

windstory are you running a custom version of Windows 7?

The only reason I ask is because is many services get disabled in custom versions that are needed for things like this that people may need/want to use while some people may not be fully aware of this fact.

As long as this service is listed, you should be able to adjust its settings. It does not depend on any other services; nor do any others depend on it.

Dwarf/I checked "Windows Modules Installer"' properties, then it is set as you shown int the pictures.

Brink/ I've tried "sfc /scannow", but not worked. I should try "repair install".

    Sammy/ I didn't install custom version.
