I use both Firefox and IE. I like some of the improvements of IE8 (still messing around with it)

Just found this forum... very nice :)

Anywayz, just downloaded the 7000 build and I must say - this being my first experience with Windows 7 - its brilliant

The thing boots up and shuts down much quicker than Vista, loving the Desktop slide show feature.

And since this is a MS product, haven't really noticed any HUGE bugs which is great.

One question tho, does the Network Icon in the system tray animate? Is there a way to get the thing animating so that I can tell if there is any activity with my connection.

    Welcome to the Se7en Forums

I also have tried to activate the network icon to be animated. So far, my attempts haven't been successful. Right clicking it brings up a menu dialog box, but nothing showing an animation option. Perhaps one of our resident gurus knows a trick or two to flush out that animation.

Also forgot to say Happy New Year

Btw, I thought that the Start Orb was suppose to glow when you move the mouse over it. Is it just a bug this build or have they dropped this appearance?

Not a major thing, just would like to know :)

    Happy New Year Snap

As far as the glowing orb, as I've discovered on various systems, some features are working some are not. I don't have a fix in my tool bag for you atm, but I'll check around to see if there is a check box or something needed to make that work for you.

This is what I use to show network activity, it's small and you can move it anywhere on the screen.
