    Windows 7 won't boot. Error message?

    Hi, I can't boot to Windows 7. It says that Windows could not verify something about this object. \Windows\system32\winboot.exe

    Anyone got anyway to fix it so I can boot to windows 7?

    PS: I used Vista Boot Pro, and for the boot loader option, I clicked Install Longhorn Bootloader. Could this be the problem?

    I think it could be Winload.exe

    Hi,

    Do you mean winload.exe?

    Post a screenshot of Disk Management window, like this:

    Open an elevated command prompt, type:

    bcdedit {enter}

    and post the results, like this:

    Boot the 7 dvd, and run Startup Repair.

    check your boot.ini on XP. XP does not have bcdedit.
    I also suggest Win7 DVD and use Repair.
