Win7 dysfunctional wrt folder creation/use
I have a new Windows 7 HP-64 OEM system on which I am unable to create and populate folders. This makes the system essentially useless for my purposes.
Basically I create a folder, say, c:\thisun, and both as user and Admin cannot copy any files to it.
1.) Permissions - I have set them in many ways and still get the message "You need permission from Userx to perform this action".
2.) Read-only bug, possibly documented by Fixing the Windows 7 Read-Only Folder Blues « IT Expert Voice
If someone could explain how to create and populate a simple Windows 7 folder, it might be extremely helpful.
