    How to find empty folders


    Is there a way to search for empty folders?

    Thank you, thank you, pacinitaly! My Kindle was failing to index because it had a bunch of empty folders on it, I probably tried to put too much on it at once. Close to 200, and it was as I was looking for issues that I found an empty one. I really did not want to have to open each one, and I love the fact that it generated a list of files, so I can go restore the bad ones, if I want to.

    Go to the DOS prompt
    type
    dir /a/s > empty.txt

    You will get the files for the current directory and subdirectories with their hidden file and at the end the total size for all of them.

    open empty.txt then do "ctrl f" to find the 0 File directory, enter 0 File(s) for the search string
