    Minor 7 issues

Apologies if these have been covered, but I'm unable to find solutions as of yet.

    1) Default directories - some applications keep your most recent folder as the default, many do not. Example of the latter: Yahoo Mail (for attachments) when using IE8 always goes to Desktop, no matter where you have selected the previous file. Is there a solution to this?

    2) In Windows Explorer, when the view is set to "Details", you can select an image and you will get a small thumbnail in the lower left. Is there a way to make that larger?

    3) What's the best way of getting a "classic" look, particularly in folders and in the taskbar? I often can't tell which if the tasks is in the foreground because the difference in tint from it to the tasks in the background is so slight.

Thanks very much in advance -

Press the Alt key and use the scroll button on your mouse to make it larger or smaller

It's alright, I was going to try it but would have had to dig out a mouse, since I'm working on a laptop touchpad at the moment

I do not know. Don't use yahoo but the browser forum can probably help you.

    NO.

Select another theme. Right-click on empty spot on desktop | choose Personalize | click on an interesting Theme
Notice that you can also choose the Window Color of the theme.

Yes you can. I have mine in "aero" mode, so that might make a difference. But if you put your cursor over the dividing point at the 2 screens, the cursor turns into an arrow, drag it up and the picture does get bigger.

    nailgunner,

True. I'd never tried it with an Explorer window, but I see that it also works there.

I never had either. But I've been doing a lot of photo editing lately, and his ? made me curious, and now I wish I had known earlier. It's not a big deal, but it's better than the tiny default size.

Perfect - so simple it makes me feel like a complete oaf, I had never thought about trying that. But the point is that it's fixed and I can now identify my photos at a glance -

    Thanks -

It does in fact work in all the themes, not just Aero!
