Perfect - so simple it makes me feel like a complete oaf, I had never thought about trying that. But the point is that it's fixed and I can now identify my photos at a glance -

    Thanks -

YOU feel like a complete oaf? As I said earlier, I have been doing some family photo editing. Have just wrapped up the 6 month project. Since I prefer the detail view to a thumbnail one, the expanded viewing area would have come in handy a lot sooner than at the end of my project. You can feel like an oaf, but I'm reserving the complete title for myself.

In any event, glad to have helped.

It just blows my mind at how many thousands of times I've respaced tiles/windows by sliding boundaries side-to-side (as well as up-and-down in mail clients, etc.) that I didn't try something that should have been so natural - so I am demanding the title of "co-oaf"

Well I'm a oaf also because I didn't know that easy fix either. Tried it and it works just fine.
