    $RECYCLER folder on external HDD

I don't have or get a recycler folder on my external HDs and USB sticks. Consequently any file I delete on those disks is gone forever. The recycle bin on my C drive works ok.

The message when deleting on a HD says: Are you sure to permanently delete...
How can I get my recycler folders back on the HDs. It must be a setting somewhere.

Right-click on Recycle Bin, and hit Properties. Select your external drive, and make sure the "Don't move files to the recycle bin" is unchecked.

Yes I know. But in my recycle bin properties only C and D, my fixed drives are mentioned. No mentioning of the external drives.

Ah, I see what you're saying now.

No, Windows does not assign a recycle bin for removable drives. I did find this though: Get a Recycle Bin For Removable Drives | Notebooks.com

    That's a 3rd-party program to add one.
