You can use the 7 dvd - it has the same system recovery options.

Boot the dvd - loading windows starts, select language , you get Install now screen - on that screen at the bottom, click repair my computer.

    Method Two here:

How far does it get when you try to boot up, and what error message do you get?

my computer stops at the window logo and then it asks me to insert the windows DVD to start to "repair computer"

    i get an error status
    "Status: 0xc000000f
Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.."

i cant get a screenshot since my desktop wont work

i also cannot access safe mode

Looks like you will need some sort of bootable disc

I just noticed you can't get into Safe Mode.

I don't think there is a 7 recovery disc available for download - you may have to d/l the whole thing.

On the bright side, there are more recent builds of 7 around.

    Hi,

Are you able to boot into Safe Mode - tap F8 repeatedly as soon as you have started the machine.

Advanced Boot Options - Vista Forums

From there, see if you can do a system restore to a point before the problem , or select Last Known Good Configuration.
i have tried but unfortunately i cannot get into safe mode or even do a system restore..

when accessing safe mode my computer stops and reboots

    (it stops at )
    Loaded: windows\system32\drivers\CLASSPNP.sys
    (and then it reboots)

Maybe faulty/corrupt install files.. If it comes down to getting a new release, grab the latest one.
