Question about Thumbnail Cache

I have always avoided deleting thumbnail cache when cleaning my PC, both manually and with Ccleaner. Currently, my thumbnail cache is ~ 180MB.

My simple question is: if I delete the thumbnail cache, will I lose any embedded album art from my AAC (.m4a) files?

Apologies for pumbing this, but I'm really curious since those album art tags are stored as .jpg files in the same album folder, hidden and considered as protected system files.
I wouldn't want to accidentally delete them and have to start all over xD

No, but the next time you access your album art you'll notice it will take a few seconds to rebuild. Not to worry, it is safe to clean thumbnail cashe, although, it's not hurting anything by being there.

Cleaning Thumbnail Cache
I've always cleaned the Thumbnail Cache using CCleaner but after doing some reading I'm a little unclear as to the benefit. As I understand it if I clean the TC, each time I open a folder it will need to rebuild the thumbnails. I believe this slows things down. Is there a benefit to not...

Thumbnail Cache Won't Stop Regenerating
Last time I looked at the size of the thumbnail cache it was 253 megabytes. Now I look and it's 14. I didn't use disk cleanup to clean the cache as it is unchecked. The only thing I can think of that could be the culprit is I have added my XBOX 360 extender, but this isn't the first time it has...
