need to disable w key from opening start menu

as the title suggest, everytime I use the "w" on my keyboard the start menu opens and it's driving me mad.

Strange, I have never seen this before. Has it always been doing this?

What type (notebook/desktop) of computer do you have, and it's brand and model number? Maybe it's a feature in a program exclusive to that brand and model.

fixed it! very very strange, but windows was performing 32 updates in the background..when they finished and i restarted the problem was fixed...oh well..one for the record books
