    System drive content getting larger

A few weeks ago I noticed that my Aronis TI 2011 images were getting larger each day. So I logged the amount of used space on my C drive from Oct 24 to Nov 1. The used space grew from 45.5 GB to 59 Gb in that time. It used to be less than 40 Gb for the longest time. I have not installed anything that would account for this growth, especially a few GB each day. Have scanned with MSE and Mal software removal tool and have found nothing.
What should I do? Is there a log somewhere I could see where his growth might be coming from?

It is most likely shadow copies etc. It may be good to make a full anti virus scan and download and run malwarebyets. Make the full scan after you update

I think the above links will help with a definitive answer.

Malwarebytes found one infection on a full scan. Deleted it.
MSE found nothing on a full scan.
Recorded the used space. Will keep an eye on it.
WinDirStat downloaded and installed. Now to figurine out how to use it. Is there a manual i could study?

Not really a manual, more of a blurb; but here it is.
You can put your cursor or click on a segment to get even more information

Use disc cleanup to remove unwanted files.
You can delete some system restore points from here and it will save a lot of space.
I managed to gain a lot of space back using this method.

    Here you go Blockie
System Protection Restore Points - Delete

Be careful, make sure you save some. You can also dowload ccleaner. You can set it to delete points and clean other crap not is not needed.

I deleted all but the last restore point and 'used disk space' went from 55 GB to 29 GB. That apparently was where the bloat was. A few questions:
    1. Are the restore points kept in a folder? Path pls.
    2. Can this folder be limited in size? How?
    3. Can the number of RP's be adjusted? How
    4. Can I automatically store the RP's on another disk? How.

System Protection - Change Disk Space Usage

Restore points are made once a week by default. YOu can change this in the task scheduler. Then you can limit the size by making as many as you like. However, almost every change to the computer, install etc is preceeded by a RP.
RP will keep accumlating until the space is full, then for each new one an old one is deleted.
