Help and support wont load

    Help and support wont load


    I keep getting this when i try to open help and support on my desktop pc
    Help and support wont load-2010-11-03_2124.png
    Any ideas, i had it about a week ago and did a system restore but its back and i dont know why its happening.

    thanks CJ ,funnily enough i had just finished reading it when i checked my thread and saw your post.
    from what i can make of the article is that i have to use winhlp32. exe
    but i dont think that is what is needed here ,at least im not sure as help and support should just open when clicked via start and then allow me to search for help topic,
    it wont.

    Run SFC /SCANNOW and if that works. Check this thread Help & Support not working

    ok there seems to be a solution there, problem now is im on laptop now as desktop is off and tv /monitor been hijacked by family watching a movie so i shall have to try sort it out tomorrow, thanks for the thread link, i couldn't find it when i did a search before i started my thread

    to be honest whats puzzling is that after the first time i noticed it woudnt start i did a system restore and that fixed it,it ran fine as it always has. so what is stopping it again perhaps its corrupt and fsc will help .
    I should mention i had to do a startup repair about a week ago and that may have some baring on it. so i guess sfc tomorrow .
    as the issue is on desktop pc and im on laptop at present.
