install.res.1049.dll - One Hit - Google Custom Search - Not Found
I hope this question is trivial, but I will ask for safety sake.
In this thread:
Unknown files in C drive, help please
the OP was advised to delete a series of files similar in name to install.res.1049.dll. Brink explained that they are 'orphan files' from an installation of Visual Studio 9.0 or Microsoft Visual C++ 2008.
In addition to the files listed by the OP for the above thread, I also found 'install.res.1049.dll.' Can I conclude that it, too, can be deleted safely, given its similarity to the others?
I did a Google Custom search of sevenforums for 'install.res.1049.dll.' The URL below is the only hit. It is 10 pages long. I checked each page and searched for res.1049.dll and didn't find it.
Is it different from the collection of similarly named files that Brink suggests are detritus from a messy installation of Visual Studio 9.0 or Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 or is it safe for me to treat it like the others?
