Cannot change program access and computer defaults

Dear all

I am using Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit
I open Set program access and computer defaults (Start/defaults program/set program access and computer defaults), chose the custom and stick to change to the program I want to use. But when I close the window and open it again => nothing change

I have try to turn off the UAC but still can not change in this function

What can I do to change it?

When you click on the "Set Program Access and Computer Defaults" link, does the UAC prompt appear? If Yes, then you should anser Yes. If No, then try resetting the UAC settings to the defaults, or better yet, to their maximum setting.

Have you "Tweaked" your system by disabling services?

Have you been running so-called Registry Cleaners and/or defraggers? Those "tools" have a tendency to cause more problems than they claim to solve...

Dear Dzomlija

I have try to do as your mention
- I change the UAC to maximum seting
- Turn on all services because I am not sure which service control this action
- I only use Defragment function of windows only, not install any other free tools before

Then I open the "set program access and computer default" link, the UAC promt, I click "Yes" and try to change.
But after I click "Apply" and open it again, nothing change

Pls help me to find other way to solve this problem
