i just looked at your other post about 7137 crashing.. i would do a clean install incase the upgrade misses the bug that is making 7137 crash

Hello Blitzkee, and welcome to Seven Forums.

While it's usually always best to do a clean install to avoid possible issues with remnants of the previously installed OS, you can upgrade to the 7201 of you would like to though. However, as Ballistyx stated, you should do a clean install because of the issues you are having with 7137. :)

yeah, figuring/sorting out the problem would be you're best option first and then if you want clean install it.

    Hi there
If you DO find the cause of your crash - please post.

I actually broke my own rule on "Upgrade" -- in this instance I did an upgrade from 7137 -- works fine.

As I'm now (after the technet fiasco in the last few days) a paid up member -- Iceland got 20% discount promo so only cost me 247 USD -- this will probably be my last install from "The Wild" as I'll be able to get the REAL W7 from technet when it appears.

(BTW although really another topic) if you consider that with a promo discount a years technet subscription is actually CHEAPER than a single purchase of W7 when it retails (and you can get up to 10 keys per product) and you can D/L a load of other stuff like OFFICE etc etc. IMO it's worth taking out the subscription.

I got caught up in the fiasco - but looking at the benefits decided to sign up -- seems to me well worth it.

    Cheers
