    Search

My wife is asking me to show her how to do a search for files modified within a certain date range. She is not the type to remember syntax like datemodified:, she wants to do it like we've done in the past with Vista where you click in boxes and fill in the dates. I am not seeing this option.

    Thanks

Hey, I've just figured out that I can do it by Shift-clicking a second date. I'm not sure if she'll be happy with that. Is there a way to access the advanced search options like on the older versions of Windows? The filter dropdown seems a bit limited.

    Thanks

Thanks Richc, but I'd already read through the tutorial. It does not seem to address this issue, as far as I can see anyway. And I don't see the old Advanced Search dialog shown in the tutorial. Has that been done away with?

Use free "Agent Ransack". Your wife will love it.

I've mentioned it a lot lately. Honestly, I don't have shares in the Company!!

mjf, thanks for the link. I'll take a look at it, but I'd like to see if I can find the options I need in Windows Search.

This should work: When you want to search in particular window, choose date modified, in the calendar choose date and drag the cursor to the last date you want to perform search on. There you have it, date range search
    cheers
