If you remove a folder feom the Windows Explorer taskbar jump list, the folder never appears in the list again. That indicates there must be a file that remembers the names of the folders removed. Does anyone know what file that is?

No. A shortcut change won't work. You can change the name, but not the address. I imagine it exists somewhere in c:\Windows or C:\Users\name\AppData, but I haven't found it yet.
The Jump Lists of Win Explorer on my PC do re-appear after being removed and visited again. In addition when using Ccleaner (set to clear Jump Lists) Re-visited folders re-appear without problem. See extract from Windows Help for Start & Jump Lists;
To clear lists

- Click the Start Menu tab, and then do one of the following:

- To clear recently opened files in the Jump Lists on the taskbar and Start menu, clear the Store and display recently opened items in the Start menu and the taskbar check box.
- Click OK.
To begin displaying recently opened programs and files again, select the check boxes, and then click OK.
That did it. Thanks much. I should have looked in the Help and Support and cleared them instead of trying to figure our were the lists were kept.
