    2 Hard Drives

I recenty built a new computer. I put an SSD drive for the operating system and a few other things. I installed a disk drive to put the rest of the stuff on. How do I get the disk drive to pull up so I can put things like Microsoft Outlook on it. It doesn't seem like the disk drive is recognized or something. I can't find it as a choice. Hope this makes sense

Try using the disk management feature to initialize the disk...

Right click "My computer" select "Manage"... in left side select "Disk Management"... Should be self explanatory from there....

    Hi Sedril,

I did what you said but I don't see how to initialize the disk...I right clicked on the partition and that wasn't an option.

Does the drive show up in "My Computer" to where you can copy files to it and such and you're just trying to figure out how to install programs to that drive? Or does the computer just not even recognize the drive at all to where you can't even see it in "My Computer" ?

Yes Doc, it does show up there. The SSD is first and the disk drive is second.

Does it show up as formated & healthy, or as unallowcated ?

if I knew how to copy a picture of it to the forum I would, it says the SSD drive is the C drive and the disk drive is a new volume
