    System performance and using skype

    HI
I have puchased a new Samsung n150 plus netbook with the Windows 7 starter edition. I have been using skype with no problem until a few days ago. Every time I try to use it now it tells me my computer is running too slowly and that I need to close other applications but I dont have anything else open. I also have tried adjusting the power settings but this has not helped. Could it be the internet connection?

Im only moved away from home two weeks ago to australia so kinda in need of getting skype going again asap

If anyone could help that would be great.

    Welcome
Take the speed test to see if your speed is up to expectations

Take the ping test, upper right, to see if other applications can be run.

    Thanks

I took the speed test and it says my download is 14.86mb/s and the upload is 0.86mb/s. Unfortunatley i dont really know what these numbers mean so if you could help me out with where to go from here that would be great!

    Thanks again

Ping is more important, what grade do you get?
Test is upper right of the page.

But your speed is better than mine. Mine are 2.54 and.43. Im not on cable, I have DSL

    Get the ping results.

Bottom line with that speed and a grad of B, I do not think that it is the internet. Try this next, go into clean boot and then try skype.
