Red square on my desktop

I notice when I watch videos that I have downloaded, a big red square can be seen. Checked my desktop and it is not red, but I can still see it. Slight change in color. 2in thick top and bottom and sides. Middle is normal. Outside of square is normal. What is wrong.

Use the Snipping Tool : Start Orb, and type "snip" in the search box. Draw a rectangle around the image, save, and then here in this thread do a reply, and attach the image.

This is the best I can do. You can barely see it.

Sorry, can't see anything on that image. Could it be a monitor defect? Can you post another image, this time use a digital camera to capture what YOU actually see on the screen.

Sorry, I dont see it (just a blurred bald head).

I think what is happening is that your media player is not in "focus" during the snip. Take a picture with a camera and post the inage here, as per Dwarf's suggestion.

Small White square on desktop
Hi I have a new ASUS G73SW and when I changed my text size and log off, a small white square about 1x1 cm appears on the center of the desktop. It isn't a dead pixel because it only appears on the desktop. Anyone knows how to get rid of it? Thanks in advance

Background white square to desktop icons!
I know I have seen a way to remove this here on the Forum somwhere. If I remember it was related to the arrows that appear on icons but for the life of me I can't find it. I have gone all through Brink's tuts to no avail. Anyone remember where the solution is please? Here's what I mean:

Square Box in Read Only
Good Day :) I'm not sure if this is a virus, but it happened after I restored my computer. All my folders in my Local Disk became "Read-Only", and from what I know its suppose to have a check mark instead of a square box. Is this a Virus? How do I fix this?
