Unable to view my system spec. and more



This happened after i installed Comodo firewall. I'm not sure if that is relevant though.

Anyway, i tried running the command "sfc /snannow" in the command prompt(in admin mode) but to no avail even after i restarted the system.

Also, i can no longer create a system restore point manually. Which when clicked "create a restore point" , they will show me these errors.

So is another way around this problem?

Have you tried completely removing comodo (all traces and rebooting) from your system to check?

I used iObit Uninstaller to uninstall it. So it should be completely gone i guess. And i have restored it prior to the installation, so any system file should be gone i guess?

And...do you still have the problems now??

Don't know about iobit unistaller. I've used Revo unistaller at times, adequate enough whenever I used it.
Just uninstalling it from Programs and Features through Windows, and maybe running something like CCleaner to look for any leftover Comodo registry entries and rebooting should be enough.

Might not hurt to run a few thorough scans with whatever Antivirus program you normally use also.

Why dont you system restore to a point before you installed Comodo?

Not sure. He just said he cant create a point manually (BTW, why's he trying to do that?). Also, he can try running SR in safe mode or from the recovery options.

Oops, missed it, thanks for pointing. In that case maybe he can try going back further to an earlier SR point. If that doesnt help and sfc scan doesnt either, then Repair Install would be the only way out.
