Dead CPU/mobo?

    Fantastic news albeit you almost choked on that pizza when you got power. Keep going slow and deliberate and take lots of pictures, hope you got one of you with the frown when it didn't beep....classic stuff....it's all good and what doesn't kill you will make you stronger !

    I am fairly certain it was a bent pin in the socket not making contact.
    I must have spent a few hours working on bending it back

    When you posted you had pulled the CPU I just new you bent a pin.

    To be honest, I think it might have been this way for a while. I had the same symptoms (though intermittent) at an earlier date. Regardless, I definitely made it worse when I pulled it out.
