It will run XP because there are suitable drivers....
I too doubt that it is a problem with not enough Ram....remember...the Minimum recommended by Microsoft is 1gb, the OP has 1.5gb.
Now it may be a problem with the Ram itself...but that is another issue altogether.
You can insist as much as you like but so far all you seem to have done is confirm that Windows 7 crashes with BSOD on this Motherboard.
