USB unplug sound, mouse hangs and sound disappears Hi!
As far as I remember this started to happen few weeks ago, or so. The mouse hangs a second or two, than skips, and after that it works ok for 10-15 minutes. When the mouse hangs there is sometimes a USB plug or unplug sound, but this sound is also hearable sometimes when the mouse doesn't hang. This happens in windows, but also while I play games.
I can hear this sound also when I plug/unplug the monitor cable to/from the graphic card. Also, this sound occures every time when I replace my graphic card driver with newer one, but only fitst time, right after the windows restart.
I know I can turn it off in the system sounds, but that's not the solution I'm looking for.
I checked the cable, and pluged the mouse into another USB port, but that didn't change a thing.
I even reinstalled Windows, but the same thing happens again.
Also, sometimes when i turn on the computer I have no sound. In volume mixer the Speaker disappears and I have only SPDIF out (I don't use it). When I reinstall the drivers it works again for few days.
This happened on my old config, too, but only 2 or 3 times in few years, after the nvidia graphic card update and computer restart.
You can see the full details about my config in system specs.
Regards and sorry for my English. | My System Specs |

Perform a SFC Scan
1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow
2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER:
sfc /scannow
A message will appear stating that 'The system scan will begin'. Be patient because the scan may take some time
3. If any files require a replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Windows 7 DVD for this process to continue
4. If everything is okay you should, after the scan, see the following message "Windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations"
5. After the scan has completed, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check. more information here How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7 | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number packard bell IXTREME M5722 OS Operating System : Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 6.01.7600 SP1 (x64) CPU Processor : Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2500 MHz Motherboard Mainboard : Packard Bell (Acer EG43M ) Memory Physical Memory :8GB Corsair4x 2GB 800MHz C5 DDR2 Graphics Card Video Card : XFX 6700 AMD Monitor(s) Displays Maestro 234DL - BenQ V2220 - BenQ VW2420H Screen Resolution Current Display :1920x1080p pixels at 60 Hz in HD LED Keyboard Gigabyte Aivia K8100 Mouse TRUST-Wireless Laser Mouse - Carbon edition MI-7770C PSU XFX ProSeries 550W PSU Case PACKARD BELL IXTREME Cooling System Blower Current: 150mA Air Flow16CFM ;Akasa 90mm rear Hard Drives Hard Disks : WDC (1000 GB)

Hello again!
In last two days I was trying what you suggested. But nothing helps.
I did the SFC Scan but it is ok:
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
Then i tried to delete and reinstall the mouse and the sound driver, but no go.
Unfortunately I have no other mouse to try.
Also, I noticed that in the Volume Mixer the settings are reseted to their default values every time when this unplug sound happens. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 x64 Ultimate CPU AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition 3.2 GHz + CM Hyper TX3 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3 Memory DDR3 2x2GB 1600MHz Mushkin Siverline Stiletto @ 1333MHz Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX460 FPB 1.2 768MB/DDR5/192bit Sound Card Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Monitor(s) Displays TFT 19" Samsung 961BF, Samsung LE-40B651 Screen Resolution 1280x1024, 1920x1080 Mouse Logitech RX300 PSU Chieftec CFT-650-14CS Case Cooler Master 690 II Advanced Hard Drives MUSHKIN Callisto 60GB SSD, WD6400AAKS, WD3200AAKS, Samsung F2 5400 1.5TB EcoGreen HD154UI Internet Speed 8Mbit Other Info Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX |

sounds like a faulty mouse get a new one and try or find a friend that you could use one from? update the usb drivers in device manager
go to the graphics card driver in device manager uninstall the driver, turn pc off take the card out , refit the card, reboot and let windows install card driver (make sure you are connected to the internet) see how that works. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number packard bell IXTREME M5722 OS Operating System : Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 6.01.7600 SP1 (x64) CPU Processor : Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2500 MHz Motherboard Mainboard : Packard Bell (Acer EG43M ) Memory Physical Memory :8GB Corsair4x 2GB 800MHz C5 DDR2 Graphics Card Video Card : XFX 6700 AMD Monitor(s) Displays Maestro 234DL - BenQ V2220 - BenQ VW2420H Screen Resolution Current Display :1920x1080p pixels at 60 Hz in HD LED Keyboard Gigabyte Aivia K8100 Mouse TRUST-Wireless Laser Mouse - Carbon edition MI-7770C PSU XFX ProSeries 550W PSU Case PACKARD BELL IXTREME Cooling System Blower Current: 150mA Air Flow16CFM ;Akasa 90mm rear Hard Drives Hard Disks : WDC (1000 GB)

Reinserting the graphic card and reinstalling the drivers didn't help. Cannot update the USB drivers, it says they are up to date already.
But I found the USB-PS/2 adapter that I got with the mouse. Now with it there is no problem for almost a day. Except that the tilt buttons don't work this way. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 x64 Ultimate CPU AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition 3.2 GHz + CM Hyper TX3 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3 Memory DDR3 2x2GB 1600MHz Mushkin Siverline Stiletto @ 1333MHz Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX460 FPB 1.2 768MB/DDR5/192bit Sound Card Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Monitor(s) Displays TFT 19" Samsung 961BF, Samsung LE-40B651 Screen Resolution 1280x1024, 1920x1080 Mouse Logitech RX300 PSU Chieftec CFT-650-14CS Case Cooler Master 690 II Advanced Hard Drives MUSHKIN Callisto 60GB SSD, WD6400AAKS, WD3200AAKS, Samsung F2 5400 1.5TB EcoGreen HD154UI Internet Speed 8Mbit Other Info Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX |

It was the NVIDIA HD Audio driver.
After intensive googling i found this thread: Q's: GeForce 460 with HDMI Audio Out - NVIDIA Forums - Page 2
The guy has the same graphic and sound card and has the same problem.
Since I uninstalled the HD driver, no more sound disappearing and mouse freezing. The mouse is not faulty, after all.
Anyway, thanks guys for help! | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 x64 Ultimate CPU AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition 3.2 GHz + CM Hyper TX3 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3 Memory DDR3 2x2GB 1600MHz Mushkin Siverline Stiletto @ 1333MHz Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX460 FPB 1.2 768MB/DDR5/192bit Sound Card Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Monitor(s) Displays TFT 19" Samsung 961BF, Samsung LE-40B651 Screen Resolution 1280x1024, 1920x1080 Mouse Logitech RX300 PSU Chieftec CFT-650-14CS Case Cooler Master 690 II Advanced Hard Drives MUSHKIN Callisto 60GB SSD, WD6400AAKS, WD3200AAKS, Samsung F2 5400 1.5TB EcoGreen HD154UI Internet Speed 8Mbit Other Info Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX |
